About Us

Our Mission

We are a small but passionate Dominican community in Slough and our aim is to provide long term support to schools, medical centres and the Infirmary in Dominica through various fundraising activities and events after hurricane Maria and beyond.  We also aim to promote our Dominican culture during our activities.

SDA also provides support to Slough Outreach, a local charity feeding the homeless in Slough.

What We Do?

The Slough Dominican Association are a Non-Profit Organisation

Raising funds to help the rebuilding of our beautiful nature island.

School Supplies

SDA supplies Primary and Pre Schools in Dominica with educational material, stationery and arts and craft supplies.

Medical Supplies

SDA sends  medical supplies and equipment such as blood pressue monitors, nebulizers and wheelchairs to the health centres and infirmary in Dominica.

Fund Raising Events

SDA organises fundraising events as well as dances and an annual dinner and dance to raise funds for our cause.

Support for the homeless

SDA supports Slough Outreach a local charity which feeds the  homeless in our local area.

Donate

Help us to make a difference.  Your donations will be help us to purchase and ship items to assist schools, health centres and the elderly on the small Caribbean island of Dominica.  We aim to make a shipment every year of items they are in much need of such as educational and exercise books, stationery, arts and crafts items, medical supplies, wheelchairs and walking aids.  Even a small donation will help us to achieve this.
